POSITIONING AN ENGINEERING FIRM AS A MARKET LEADER

2023-Present

THE STORY

ToThink Engineering came to Priism as a strong technical operator in the quarrying and materials processing space, but without a brand and content strategy built to match their expertise. Director Darren Toth had genuine authority in the industry, writing articles for publications like Quarry and Sand and Stone, but there was no cohesive system pulling that expertise, the product range and the equipment work together into one clear market position.

We started with brand guidelines and a full website redesign, giving ToThink a platform that puts their bespoke equipment designs, product offerings and Darren's published articles front and centre. From there, we built out a broader content and social media presence on LinkedIn, sharing equipment in action, site visits and industry articles to keep ToThink visible and engaged within the quarrying community.

Supporting this has been a steady stream of media production, including drone footage of equipment operating on-site for the website's banner video, and a full photo library of products and equipment with clean, background-removed versions ready to drop into the website, print materials or manuals. We've produced motion graphics for both the website and industry events, including a presentation reel for the 2023 CMPA dinner at the MCG, alongside full-page and half-page print ads running across Quarry and Sand and Stone from 2023 through 2025. Rounding out the partnership has been a mix of branded merchandise like mugs, notepads and magnets, business cards, full brochure design, and consolidated product manuals built by pulling together technical drawings, commissioning checklists and documentation into single branded PDFs.

They didn't just show up with a camera. They took the time to understand who we are, and the story we were trying to tell. They captured significant moments across the life of the school and helped us apply that to communications across the board.

The Challenge

ToThink had deep technical credibility in the quarrying and materials processing industry, built through Darren's 20+ years of hands-on industry experience and published writing, but their brand presence wasn't reflecting that authority. Equipment, products and technical knowledge lived in different places, and there was no unified system tying it together or positioning ToThink as a leader to the wider industry.

The Solution

Priism approached the challenge by treating ToThink's technical expertise as the core brand asset, building everything else around it rather than layering marketing on top. We established brand guidelines first, so every piece of collateral that followed had a consistent foundation. The website was designed to lead with proof of capability, showcasing bespoke equipment and Darren's published articles as evidence of expertise rather than generic sales copy.

On social, we focused on LinkedIn specifically, matching where the quarrying industry actually engages, and built a content rhythm around real site visits and product updates rather than a scattershot posting schedule. For events and print, we treated each placement, from the CMPA dinner at the MCG to trade publication ads, as a chance to reinforce the same consistent message rather than one-off pieces.

Outcomes

ToThink now has a consistent brand presence across every touchpoint, from their website and LinkedIn through to print ads and event materials. The website gives prospective customers a clear view of the equipment range and the technical thinking behind it, while the ongoing article and social content keeps ToThink visible within the quarrying and materials processing community.

The result is a brand that reflects the same level of expertise and reliability that Darren and the team bring to their engineering work, positioning ToThink as a recognised name across the industry rather than just a supplier.
